Board Member Expectations

Region V VPP

  •  You must have Company support to attend a minimum of two face-to-face Board of Directors meetings in a calendar year. We currently schedule two-four face-to-face meetings. One of the scheduled meetings is the annual conference. At our November business meeting we schedule the meeting dates for the following 12 month period. The costs associated with your travel and hotel stay is the responsibility of your company. Normally we will have one board sponsored dinner meeting when we have a face–to- face meeting.
  • You must be able to make, at a minimum, 4 monthly teleconferences in a calendar year. We currently schedule one a month, usually on a Wednesday, which last in duration from 60 to 90 minutes. These are not commonly scheduled in a month that we meet face to face.
  • You will also be expected to attend the Region V VPPPA Conference. You must be aware that you are attending this conference as a facilitator and not as a participant. Therefore, your participation in the conference will be as “time permits.”  Your conference registration fee is waived since you are serving on the board, but accommodations will remain your responsibility.
  • You will also be asked to join and assist sub-committees within the Region V. You may be required to participate.
  • Attendance at the National VPPPA Conference is expected, but not mandatory.
If you’re interested in running for one of the open positions, please review the Board Member Expectations Sheet and return the completed Region V Commitment signature Sheet no later than May 12, 2017. These two documents are available on the Region V website:
